Top Marques Monaco – the only auto show in the world where visitors can drive the car of their dreams on a Grand Prix circuit -is returning in 2017 with a spectacular line-up of supercar launches. The event, billed last year as the ‘ultimate luxury car show’ by Bloomberg TV, will celebrate its 14th edition with more world debuts than ever before.
Six supercars will be officially launched at the show, being held in Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum from April 20th to 23rd 2017.
They include :
• The D8 GTO-RS, the fastest and lightest D8 GTO ever built by Dutch boutique car manufacturer Donkervoort
• The 2,000 bhp Berus, the latest thrill-seeking sensation from Keating Supercars in the UK
• The brand new edition of the 1.8 million euro Asfanè Italian supercar by Frangivento named after Princess Charlotte of Monaco
• Limited-edition handbuilt cars by British coachbuilder David Brown Automotive
A further two world debuts have been confirmed for the show, being held in association with the Edmond de Rothschild group, but are so top secret that no details can yet be revealed. The world premieres will be unveiled by the show’s patron H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco at the opening ceremony on April 20th.
Managing Director Manoj Bairstow said: «Each year we try to bring our visitors the very latest innovations from the luxury supercar industry. Next year will be a record with six world premieres. We will also be welcoming back old favorites such as Brabus, Kahn and David Brown Automotive, who is returning with production models of it’s luxury handbuilt grand tourer, Speedback GT.
« Also returning for the fifth consecutive year is title partner private bank the Edmond de Rothschild group, without whose collaboration the show would not be possible. Our thanks also go to the Principality of Monaco and our patron, H.S.H Prince Albert II for their unstinting support since the beginning of our story.»
Hervé Ordioni, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild (Monaco), said: “This fifth annual collaboration between the Edmond de Rothschild group and Top Marques Monaco enables us to share our values with the collectors and numerous ardent participants who come to discover the creativity and excellence of this top-flight exhibition. On-going innovation, loyalty to tradition and drive are the keys to success in our respective universes.”
Top Marques Monaco has become one of the most important shows on the automotive calendar since it was founded in 2004. It is now the third biggest public event in Monaco, with approximately 42,000 visitors and more than 1300 test drives carried out in 2016. However, Top Marques Monaco is not just about cars. It has also become the world’s highest profile show of luxury goods since the Watch & Jewellery Pavilion and Luxury Lane sections were added to the line-up. It is now widely regarded as the showcase event where exclusive brands and services can launch new products to a discerning audience.
“In 2016 we launched the ArcaBoard, the world’s first ever flying hover board, and in 2015, we exhibited the AeroMobil, a flying car,” Mr Bairstow said. “We have some equally incredible surprises up our sleeve for our next edition, details of which will follow”.
